Taxi Service in Srinagar

The valley day trips are all similar in shape — two to three hours out, a day on the ground, two to three hours back — and they are best done one per day rather than combined. Winter changes everything here, and Gulmarg in particular can be cut off at short notice, so we confirm road status on the morning rather than the week before.

• Gulmarg — roughly 50 km, for the gondola and the meadow.
• Pahalgam — roughly 90 km, through the Betab and Aru valleys.
• Sonmarg — roughly 80 km, seasonal.
• Doodhpathri — roughly 42 km, quieter than the other three.

In the city

Dal Lake and the houseboats, the Mughal gardens at Nishat and Shalimar, Shankaracharya Temple and the old city. A shikara ride is arranged separately at the ghat.

Srinagar airport, the TRC, the Boulevard Road hotels and the Dal Lake ghats. For a houseboat, the drop is at the ghat and the last stretch is by shikara.
